Count is a dance work collaborative project choreographed by Meredith Shepherd and composed by Cristóbal MartÃnez for performance at the Laban Centre, London, UK. This work is a dance piece composed of pedestrian movements that are executed as unison, canons, and codes constructed of indeterminate numbers. These same numeric configurations are used to determine the arrangement of rhythmic events within the music as well. Count is a quartet exploring the impact of urban life upon individual choice.
This piece was performed in June 2004, at the Bonnie Bird Theatre, Laban Centre, London, UK.
